Butte Central senior football players Bryan Holland and Egan Lester were recently named to roster for the 74th edition of the Montana East-West Shrine Game. Holland was selected to play as a defensive lineman and Lester was selected as an alternate running back. The rosters were announced to the state-wide media at midnight on Christmas Eve.
“We are very proud to be represented on the 2021 Shrine Game roster by Bryan and Egan,” commented Butte Central Head Football Coach Don Peoples Jr. “They are outstanding young men who worked very hard in our program for four years.”
Both players were named to the Western “A” All-Conference Team in November. Holland was selected as 2nd team defensive end and offensive tackle and Lester was selected as a 2nd team running back. Both Maroons played outstanding football in a season that was marred by Covid-19 cancellations and multiple players being placed in quarantine. “Bryan and Egan were among the best players in Class A this past season and they are very deserving of this prestigious honor,” reflected Peoples.
The 2021 Shrine Game will be player on June 19,2020 in Billings. The West Team will practice in Butte on the campus of Montana Tech.
